Handwriting is fundamental in expressing ourselves and communicating our ideas to one another. 

At St Peter's we are, beginning from September 2023, following the Nelson Handwriting scheme of work. This ensures all children are taught handwriting in the same way, using universal resources that support the needs of all children, whether they are right or left-handed, dyspraxia or need support with their gross-motor skills. 

Our aim is that by the end of Year 6, children will be writing, neatly, joined and legibly.
