English
Today we are going to continue with our newspaper, by writing the ‘main body’ of our newspaper article. This means that we now need to give more information. This should be formal and not include our own opinion.
Again, it must include the following points:
· What
· Where
· How
· Why
· When
But you must include statistics and numbers. Use your planning sheet to help.
You might need to split your ideas into small paragraphs. You never see HUGE paragraphs in a newspaper report. The information is concise and snappy.
Geography
What is a landmark? An object or feature of a landscape or town that is easily and recognised from a distance. What do you think the biggest landmark is in England? Why?
What makes Stonehenge a landmark? Does anyone know of any landmarks in Brazil?
Choose a Brazilian landmark to research. Write 3 facts about it.
Challenge: do the same with the highest peak of Brazil. |
