We are going to continue reading our book- Chapters 18, 19 and 20 today!

 

English - Zoom at 9.30am

Today we are going to begin writing our Sci-Fi short stories. Use the plans that you wrote yesterday to write the beginning part of the story. Focus on what would make an interesting beginning to the story- remember it is short so you need to jump into the action of the story almost straight away. 

We are using Google Classrooms to type this work up- the assignment has been set on there like before!

Below you can find some sentence prompts, which may help you get going with your story.

Today you are to have a try at the dots and dashes activity on page 8 of your orange RWI books. The answers will be uploaded below. 

Maths - Zoom at 11am

Today we are beginning our work on short division, this is something we have done in arithmetic, and hopefully will be a recap for you. It may take a little bit of practice to get used to this method, but just like long multiplication if we persevere we will succeed!

Art- Zoom at 1.45pm

Today we are going to be thinking about and trying out line drawings with pen. 

Have a look through the notes and I will model what it is we are looking for and some techniques you can use to add detail to your drawings!
