Reading (Zoom at 9.30am)

Today you are to quiz on There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom, as well as write a book review of it (just like Bradley does for his favourite book: My Parents Didn't Steal an Elephant!), you can either write your own or use the template below. 

If you are creating your own, it needs to include:

-what it is about

-your favourite moment

-your favourite character

-what you think the books themes are  (good and evil, humour, changing etc)

-what rating you would give it

-who would you recommend it to?

Today we are continuing with some Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar revision. 

There are three packs of questions- one about spelling, one about grammar and one about punctuation.

We will go over a few of the concepts in our Zoom lesson, where we will answer one of two questions. 

Spellings (Zoom at 9.30am)

Today is our spelling test day. Please make sure you have read through and practised your spellings. 

We are focusing on the -able words. 

Maths  (Zoom at 11am)

Today we are revising the fraction work we have covered over the past few weeks. 

There will be some revision in our lesson at 11am, but the work will be on Google Classroom, it will be a set of multiple choice questions covering the topics of identifying fractions, equivalent fractions, improper fractions, mixed numbers, ordering/comparing fractions and fractions bigger and smaller than one. 

 

 

Music (Musician of the Week): 

This week our Musician of the Week is Tracey Chapman. 

Tracey Chapman is an American singer-songwriter, known for her distinctive voice and guitar-based songs.  Here is one of her most well known songs: Fast Car. 

Have a read of the Knowledge Organiser below, and then see if you can answer the questions about her. 

Tracey never wanted to be a 'star', she writes music as a way to express herself and the life experiences that she has had whether it would sell or not. 

The song below was dedicated to Nelson Mandela and she even got to perform at his 70th birthday celebration. 

And finally this song reflects on Tracey Chapman's experience with poverty. 

As you can see Tracey Chapman uses a guitar in her music, and combined with her powerful voice create an amazing sound.

RE:

In our RE lesson today, we are thinking about how we and Jesus remembered the Passover and how we now remember the Last Supper. 

Have a look through the slides below, which look at the Passover story (which you retold back in November) and the events of the Last Supper.
