Each year, we hold an immersive writing day for the whole school. This year, the whole day was planned around the themes of colour and light. We began the day with a live magic show, which fired up our curiosity. We completed science workshops in class and wrote about it! 

Our ideas for science writing were:

KS1

• Rainbows experiments with colour / how the rainbow got its colours myth?
• Where does light come from?
• Why we need light – the things I need light to do?
• Colours and emotions – poetry or writing about how we feel about colours. 
• Fireworks - descriptive writing

KS2

• What does the Sun do every day?
