For a little bit of variety this week I have added some new ideas. You may have a family favourite that you like to start your day with – (which is fine) But here is a warm-up and some plans for you. The plan will give you ideas and some props you may need to collect – they are all things from around the house.
I have attached a lesson plan below for you –
Here is the video link to help you visualise the session.

This is a link for a BBC bitesize clip for Tricky words. We will watch this at the beginning of the session.
Was, all, they my – these are all red words – they are just words that we need to learn. As well as using our phonics there are a set of words that just need to be learnt. Here are 4 of them for today.
I will go through a couple of phonics games with the children today – one about ‘tricky words’ and another one for the ‘igh’ sound.

Session 3- Maths: Zoom session
Maths – Growing 6,7,8
Today we are looking at days of the week.
To start the session from White rose:
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/early-years/growing-6-7-8-week-3/
Which numbers are a pair? Can you find the matching cards?
Today we are going to look at the story Jaspers bean stalk – he finds a bean, plants it and it grows everyday – the story starts on Monday he plants the bean, and it grows a little bit every day. We are going to read the story.
Here is the link just in case you miss the session or would like another look... I have also added a powerpoint below of the story.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Da6lxY_8jmU
We need to put the pictures from the story in order and we need to put the days of the week in order.
Sequence the days of the week- Monday – to Friday
Here is a reminder - just in case!
What does Jasper do first – he finds the beans
Next he plants the bean
Wednesday he waters it
Thursday he digs, rakes and it
Friday he collects the bug and snails.
Can you have a go at ordering the days of the week- draw a picture of all the things that Jasper gets up to.
If you would like to do a little bit extra I have added resources for organising Billy Bears week – it may be something you would like to save for another day – maybe over half term to help you plan your week.
Session 4 - Communication Language and Literacy and Expressive Art and Design
Below is a link to a Youtube clip of a Lion Dance in Hong Kong it is part of the Chinese New Year Celebrations in 2019.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs0GuU0cUtw
Watch the film clip and see if you can think of some ways to describe the Lion Dance.
How do they move?
What do they do? (move left and right, up and down. Shake, jump, balance, turn, wiggle their bottom!)
What can you hear? What instruments can you see being played?
Can you try and keep a beat like the musicians?
Can you find some things in your house to create a similar beat? (saucepans / lids / boxes) you may need to do this in the garden!!!

Just in case you wanted to see some more – It is actually a competition!!! Here is another link.
