We teach phonics using the Read Write Inc. programme. The purpose of this is to teach, review and apply phonics to blend words as well as introduce children to learn non-decodable ‘red’ words. The sessions involved both modelling, direct teaching and peer support.

Children following Read Write Inc will come home with a Read Write Inc 'Book Bag' Book - this will closely follow the texts used in class.
